As the London newspaper “Underground” informs, famous tourist insurance company InsureandGo created a new service for it’s clients - covering of the expenses connected with consequences of terrorism. Medical charges, indemnification for loss of personal items and delays of transport in case of act of terrorism are included in this service.
Necessity of such step has ripened after acts of terrorism in London, Egypt and Bali last year. The insurance companies have been criticized for the refusal of paying the reimbursement in case of act of terrorism. After explosions in hotels in Charm-Esh-Sheikh last summer many British tourists faced the situation when the insurers refused to compensate their charges or return money in case of canceling the trip.
” The terrorism, unfortunately, became an integral part of our life both inside of the country and abroad “, - the representative of company InsureandGo Perry Wilson has noted. “Some companies exclude acts of terrorism from the insurance cases, but we wish to get rid of it and to make these cases a part of our services “, - he added.
“Underground”, referring to Association of the British insurants, specifies, that other companies also deliberate about indemnification at least of the medical charges suffered by victims of acts of terrorism.
